Honest to God

I am sitting here minding my own business waiting for the snow to start, kids playing nicely, when Brooke comes over and asks, (and I kid you not), "When mommies and daddies have babies how does the baby get in there?" No matter how cool you think you are or how prepared you assume you will be this question sends your mind racing with all the possible ways you could screw this answer up and guarantee a therapist $250 an hour for many years.

I think I did alright even though my answer elicited a step back and an "ewww" from Brooke. Fine with me. I wasn't graphic so don't worry my conservative friends. I tried the basic when two people love each other business but she wasn't having any of it so I had to explain about the sleeping together part, again, "But how does it actually get in there?" So I had to explain Mom & Dad parts and used a seed reference while trying to stifle my giggles at the thought of having to explain this. She finally walked away and is back to playing again so I think I can return to breathing.....for now.

Done!

I'm done with the book. A select few will be getting copies this month and, depending on their feedback, I'll be hunting for an agent. If I could write full-time it would be a dream come true but better make sure the book doesn't suck first, huh?

Brooke and Lexi are doing well, loving their advents calendars and all the hoopla up to the big day! Brooke already got a skateboard and Lexi got a Yo Gabba Gabba dancemat (if you don't know what that is count yourself lucky) from Santa. We went to Carol's holiday party this past weekend and had a great time!

Winter in N.E. makes for some seriously long, boring, tv-watching days which no one wants to read about but I'll try to pay more attention to the everyday cutieties (funny things the kids say) so that I can blog more often! The problem is their conversations are getting longer and Mommies memory is getting shorter - not too good for relating the stories five days later.

The Mommy saga continues

John has a trade show today and tomorrow so he's out of town.
I got up today at 4:45am to catch the train.
I had to make sure I was sitting at a computer at 8:30 so that I could sign the kids up for gymnastics or else all of the spots would have been taken (it's happened).
I walked from my office to Downtown crossing to Ashburton (on the hill) to Downtown Crossing to Ashburton and then back to my office in shoes that are not comfortable.
I was explained to, in no uncertain terms, of my location in the hierarchy of EHS IT (Hint: It is NOT at the top)
Brooke has a cough that is keeping her (and me) up all night.
Alexis got bit by a tick and the site is all red.
I have a dentist appointment tonight - arranged for a sitter for an hour.
I have a code drop tomorrow (culmination of a years worth of work) and I have to drop the kids off at their respective schools in the morning meaning I have about 10 minutes to drive 10 miles to catch the train which gets me to work at 10am (3 hours late).
I have 2 meetings scheduled Thursday afternoon after my normal hours which I'll call into on the train (hoping we don't hit any dead spots).

I wonder why I'm tired all the time.........

8 years!

John and I just celebrated our 8th anniversary (November 4th). By celebrated I mean we ordered take-out Chinese food with the kids. People always ask "What are you getting?" when a 'holiday' or milestone comes along, so here's my list:

What I'm getting is a happy and secure home for my children.
What I'm getting is a husband who loves me dearly though I am most definitely difficult to love at times.
What I'm getting is a lot of snoring (sorry had to work that in there honey).
What I'm getting is a man who isn't afraid to follow his dreams and take a chance.
What I'm getting is someone who loves family, would prefer to stay home than go out and who will play dress up with little girls when the need arises.
What I'm getting is comfort and security and love every day.

What I'm getting is worth a lot more than another piece of jewelry that I can stuff into the back of the jewelry drawer; though I wouldn't be adverse to a trip to Mexico at 10 years........

Halloween

Halloween was a great time! Brooke was Hannah Montanta (though she quickly morphed into Miley Cyrus when the wig got too much for her). Lexi was a skeleton which was a great outfit because it was warm, easy to put on and inexpensive!

We went to Linda's house for pre-trick-or-treat party with all of the neighbors. It was really a great time. Some pretty creative costumes on the kids AND parents.

On Saturday we went to farm day and manned the Marshfield Kids at Plan booth. John took the kids around the fair and I helped sell some t-shirts. Afterward we went to a BBQ at one of the committee members houses which was great. Overall a really fun weekend!

September and October

So I haven't blogged in awhile with pictures so this is going to be loaded with pics and not many words!

Here we have Brooke's first day of Kindergarten (she was getting off the bus).

Her friend Victoria takes the bus as well, but isn't in the same class.

On the days I work at home Lexi has taken up Java coding and going some basic QA stuff for me. It's great but she's already looking for a raise.

My mother-in-law, Anne, (who may kill me for posting this picture) comes and plays with Brooke on Thursday afternoons. They have a routine where they make tea (real!) and have snacks. On this particular day they did make-up and hair!

All was going well. Brooke was off to her first kindergarten birthday party. I decided to take the girls to the park ahead of time to blow off some steam. Let's just say monkey bars. It's a fracture (buckle fracture) and not a "break" but still required the rest of the day (Sat.) at the dr. office and hospital.
So there we have it for now but it's only mid-October. It's been absolutely beautiful in New England lately. I hope to post more pics this weekend of our trip last weekend to World's End.

Now I'm in trouble

Google has discovered my blog. So anyone that Google's me (not that I Googled myself or anything) is going to find this blog. Yikes, better watch what I write a little more closely. Nah.
Anyway, cute Brooke story coming.

In the car on the way home from picking them up at daycare, "Mom, you know that girl that doesn't like us (her and Victoria) on the bus? Well, I sat with her friend today so she didn't have a seat. She had to sit at the back of the bus. And when she sat down the boys back there were making fun of her, so I turned around and said, 'Stop it." Then they told ME to stop it so I said, 'Puhleease just stop picking on my friend'. And they kept doing it. Then I accidentally poked one of them in the eye."

I thought I was going to have to pull over I laughed so hard. There are a lot of people I wish I could "accidentally" poke in the eye.

The inequity of it all

How does someone like Paul Newman die and ...........I'm trying to think of someone I'd like to have died but that's just awful so I won't (though Bin Laden comes to mind).

Paul Newman celebrated his 50th anniversary to JoAnne Woodward in January 2008. That's amazing in this day and age. Especially for Hollywood. In addition to their long standing union, the two blazed amazing philanthropic trails.

Paul started the 'Newman's Own' business in 1983 in response to repeated requests from his neighbors for his homemade salad dressing. That business has thrived into a $250 million dollar enterprise from which the proceeds are directly routed into various charitable foundations. The money has assisted those in need in the US and overseas. One of the causes that was most dear to Mr. Newman's heart (from his website, I'm not just making this up) is the children's camp he founded called Hole in the wall (http://www.holeinthewallcamps.org/). The children who go to the camp often have incurable diseases. The entire tuition is coverd by Newman's Own proceeds.

If you want to have a good cry go to the Newman's Own web site (http://63.131.143.186/), scroll down and play his video. The man was amazing. The world as a whole is going to miss him.

If you have a penny to donate, do it. You know who you are, DO IT! And having a jar of his salsa doesn't count, though this stuff is AMAZING!

Sarah Palin I ain't

So John and I put some effort into supporting a local State Representative primary candidate, Michael Maresco. By "supporting" I mean we had his sign in our yard, got a sitter, went to his house to stuff envelopes and ate and drank for free. Pretty much a win, win if you ask me.

Not so much. He lost. By quite a lot.

I was truly upset, not just because I really think the guy is a good guy and would have done a good job but because of the lottery factor.

What, you may ask, is the lottery factor? When I, on very rare occassions, buy a scratch ticket or a lottery ticket I truly expect to win. I go around the whole day thinking of what I'll do with the money which always starts with philanthropy and ends with shoes. Once I scratch and, inevitably, lose I am truly surprised. And pissed.

Same thing with the state rep primary. I really thought that just because we liked this guy everyone else would listen to us and like him as well. I'm slowly learning that the power of persuasion I thought I possessed may not actually exist. Except with the kids because they still do what I tell them to, for the most part.

So last night was my first PTA meeting. Wow was that an eyeopener. It was truly awful. I thought people had to be joking but, no, they are not. The "board" was a clique, the audience was mostly ignored expect for one woman who would not shut up and there were no snacks. Seriously, you have a meeting from 7 to 9pm with NO snacks and you are asking these people to give all of their free time (and money) to a school for which we already pay taxes? Strangely enough I was not elected to the school council, which I had put my name in for. I think they may have been put off by the fact that I didn't have a sweatshirt and crocs on or that I admitted that I work full-time. I could see the wheels turning, "Works full-time? She'll never be able to bake 300 cakes, draw a mural and weave an indian basket by Monday. Pick the loud mouth."

Suffice it to say I probably won't be going back, which seems to be the cool thing to do anyway seeing that there were about 25 people total representing the 433 kids in the school. And you do know how I like to be cool.....

Firsts

This past week has been a week of firsts:
Brooke's first day of kindergarten (which went v. well except for some twirpy little first grader who gave her a hard time on the bus but, thankfully, her friend Victoria has enough sass for both of them and handled the kid - from what I could gather)
Brooke's first time riding the slide in the indoor pool at the Y which meant she had to swim the length of an Olympic pool to get "cleared" to slide. She also took a swim evaluation and has progressed two levels. Strangely, she moved up two levels during the summer when she didn't have any lessons... what does that tell you about swim lessons? Lexi, btw, not to be left out, tested into the Eel class which, as she likes to point out endlessly, is one level above where Brooke started at her age. Brooke is now a Ray.
Mommy's first isn't quite as exciting, it was the first time someone told me "You look good for you age." The day before my 39th b'day. Quite the reality check. Well, gotta go, time to dye those gray hairs and take my dentures out for my afternoon nap...zzzzzzzzz.

Gymnastics it is!

So we are going with gymnastics which makes me happy!

Before a quick post I have to add these links from a night we had some friends over (last Sat.). The Garrity's have two kids, Sydney and Marco, who played with our kids really well. Mike Garrity went to school with John and Helen is his wife ( you see her briefly in the video). Check out the musical trio at the following links:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7X4r2ybdt6Q

Isn't that so cute! Lexi is so funny - just right out there.

We just got back from NH and I haven't had a chance to upload the pics but should soon. It was a great time though, as usual, Yia Yia and I were pretty wiped out by the end of it. I'll post with the pictures sometime this week.

Soccer or Gymnastics?

Brooke starts kindergarten in 3 weeks and already I have a dilemma. Soccer sign-up for kindergarteners ends tomorrow. I had planned to have her do Gymnastics at the YMCA (which she loves and requested to take again, instead of swimming) but now, I'm not sure if I should:

a) tell her about Soccer
b) tell her that her friend Victoria will be playing soccer
c) just sign her up for Gymnamstics and hope she's happy

I know it sounds crazy but I never got to start a sport and stick with it like most kids did. The reasons are many and to be consistent let's stick with an alphebetized list:

a) I'm uncoordinated
b) I'm somewhat handicapped (arthritis) - though probably not so much that I couldn't have tried a little harder
c) I went to 9 (which is not 12 as I've been going around telling everyone but my mother and I counted the other night and it's officially 9) grammer schools
d) I'm slower than molasses - true story - they used to have me run the relay race with acutal handicapped kids - and they would win!
e) just didn't like sports much, all the running, crying, not getting picked, etc.

So I'm hoping my kids have a different experience. So far (thank you God) they don't have to worry about B or C. As to A and D it's a little too early to tell but already they are faster than me but refer back to E you'll realize that's not saying much.

I guess I'll let her pick because then, when she yells at me when she's 13 for not being on the soccer/gymnastics team, I can blame her!

Day two of Exile

Marshfield, MA - Friday July 25th - 2am
Alexis Vallier wakes her slumbering mother crying and saying that she thinks she needs a thermometer. Her mother takes her temp and realizes that she has a fever of 102 degrees.
Not a big deal on a normal day but, this, of course, was the day before her mother's "big" night out for the launch of the "Lace Reader".

Saturday - 8am
Mother and Father discuss pros and cons of dragging Alexis to Quincy to have the fever checked out even though it has not come back. The child is prone to ear infections so they decide to make the trip even though the mother still holds out hope of going to her party. It's decided (stupidly in forethought) that the older child will go as well to have a small mole checked at the same time.

Saturday - 11am, 11:30, noon
Doctor's office enjoys torturing mother's who wait until Saturday morning to bring their kids in. They make them wait for an hour in the germ filled waiting room with all the other bitchy Mom's and snot nosed kids.
Result: No ear infection, mole is a wart and will go away.

Saturday -12:30
Stuck in Cape traffic coming back from Quincy, mother bursts into tears, recovers after speaking with father who is in a particularly good mood (probably because he didn't just have to sit at Doctor's for an hour and a half!)

Saturday - 2:00
Father valiantly tells mother to go to party & have a good time. Loads kids into car and heads off to Woburn for Vallier/MacEachern family party.

Saturday - evening
Lace Reader launch partyin Salem with Yia Yia. Great weather, fun people, lots of wine and appetizers. Overall a great time. Mother sleeps in Salem.

Sunday - 7:30am
Mother wakes are realizes if she leaves right now she still won't be in Marshfield until almost 9am which is pretty late so she gets going but first has some food with Yia Yia.

Sunday - 9am
Mother pulls in driveway, father tells mother Vallier family is coming for lunch and Brooke has been coughing alot. Mother starts cooking pasta salad and cutting green beans, etc. Brooke coughs and coughs.

Sunday - noon
Vallier family arrives, Brooke takes herself up to her room for a nap (completely unheard of). Alexis is perfect angel during the party. Brooke wakes fairly quickly and coughs all day. Eventually throws up from coughing and party, strangely, breaks up.

Sunday - night
Brooke up all night. Decision made that she'll have to miss school field trip next day to Children's museum which she is NOT happy about. Alexis will be going on field trip which doesn't help.

Monday - 9:30
Mother & Brooke at doctor's office again, Marshfield this time, Brooke has bronchitis. Bron-freakin'-chitis in July? Mother may have said just that to doctor who perused records and reported that she has had bronchitis last two Julys in a row. Ridiculous.

Tuesday (today)
Brooke slept all night but still not 100% so mother kept BOTH kids home and switched daycare days so kids go to school tomorrow.

So that about breaks it down. The upside is that both kids realize they are getting a treat staying at home so they are fairly low key.

Pray for me people, will you?

Quote of the week

Brooke was lying in the playroom and asked Lexi to get her another cheese stick. This must have been one too many favors because Lexi's reply was:

"Brooke! I am not just your cheese stick getting girl! I am a regular person."

And she walked away without getting the cheese stick, singing of course.

You know you are old when...

...you forget how to take a shower. OK, not kidding. You know how sometimes you forget to do really basic things. I got in the shower this morning and put the shampoo in my hand before my hair was wet at all. Then, I was all screwed up because I was also facing the wrong way and didn't have two hands to wet my hair (God forbid I lose a teaspoon of shampoo, but let's remember that this is 4:45am). So I sort of scooted back and tried to get my hair wet but my hair rejected most of the water so I had to soap up a half dry head of hair, backwards because when I turned around it just sprayed in my face and aggravated me because, again, I have shampoo in my hand. Now that I write it down it sounds stupid because why didn't I just wash the shampoo off my hand and start from scratch? I was tired, OK? Anyway, it wasn't a great shower.
In other news, Lexi Loo's ear infection has cleared up just before vacation, thankfully. We are going today to check and see if her right tube fell out which enabled the ear infection. Brooke, refuses to go to the doctor and act like a human so Anne is watching her for an hour, I love having them in Marshfield!! I'm actually glad Brooke isn't coming to the Dr. because she also get burned this weekend and I'd rather not get the sunscreen lecture though I would be surprised if I don't get it from Anne anyway.
We are heading to Maine on Friday for a week of fun and frolic with Yia Yia, Papa J, Kate & Barb and Dad & Karen (not all at once). The big attraction will be Storyland which Lexi can not stop talking about. Stay tuned for pictures when we get back.

Sex and.....the broken blood vessels

So, Carol and John Z. - how do you like that title for drawing you back into the blog??
Huh, huh?

So let's go.

I decided to go off the rails and, I know it's crazy, but I decided to go to a movie!! Bad mother, bad wife, I know, I know. The movie in question was, of course, Sex in the City. I liked the show, I saw all the hype and being a somewhat anti-hype person (having been raised by the holy hype herself) I still bought into it.

And I must say - it was GOOD! My butt didn't hurt once! In case you weren't aware - I judge movies by how many times during the course of the movie I notice that my butt hurts from sitting in the chair. The more times I notice, the worse the movie. So zero butt hurts is like 5 thumbs up or something. Work with me here I'm a little rusty.

Anyway, it was a good movie that I went to with my friend Linda, who always makes the experience more fun.

Sooo, I got home at the late hour of 9:3o and checked on the kids. Brooke's light was still on so I leaned over to give her a kiss and realized she was mini-polka dotted. I immediately woke John and said, "What is with Brooke's face?" He said, "Wha, wha, wha??" As might be expected when you wake a sleeping giant.

I said, "Brooke has spots all over her face, what happened?"

He basically said he didn't know and that it had happened last week when we freaked out and it went away the next day. I said he didn't understand what I had seen so I dragged him into the room to see mini-pd. He still shuffled it off though I'm pretty sure he was just still sleeping.

In the morning it seemed to have subsided somewhat but again this was 4:30 when I was getting ready to go to work so I, then, may not have been totally awake.

Long story short John ended up bringing her to the doctor the next day because after he dropped her at school and then called to check on her later he realized it wasn't just going away.

It turns out that the night before (the bad Mommy night when I went to the movie) Brooke had had a tantrum at about 8:30 and cried so hard that she had burst blood vessels in her face. True story. I couldn't make this up. So now she is polka dotted for 2 weeks until they heal. Honest to God.

On another note - I have recommendation for all the women who read my blog:

COVERGIRL - OUTLAST LIP COLOR

I am telling you - this stuff DOES stay on all day. It's like paint or something. My friend Joan works for P&G (Proctor & Gamble) and gave me a ton of free samples of stuff I wouldn't normally try. Well, this stuff is amazing. You put on the color, wait 2 min for it to dry and then apply a gloss (which I'm pretty sure is just vaseline) as you need to. The gloss brings the color back to life immediately. I'm telling you it's amazing. I hate having to reapply lipstick but the gloss is similar to a chapstick which, for some reason, isn't such a big deal to put on.
I'm telling you, spend the $6 and try it!

Give me a break

COME ON PEOPLE!! Give an entrepreneur a break. This woman (a teacher) came up with a supplement, called Airborne, that helps to ward off colds. I can attest to the fact that it works for me. I make sure to take it right when someone starts showing signs of a sickness in our house and I have not gotten sick this year.
The kids have been sick twice each. John has been sick about 4 times. I have not been once. This is the first year I've not been sick, this is the first year I've been taken Airborne religiously when someone starts to show signs. That's good enough for me.
But nooooo. Hold on, she was making too much money on HER idea. So now the read the- small- print- in hopes of squashing the America dream AND taking some of their money while we're at it people are saying she didn't do enough testing. She hired a small group of people to administer the testing just for this product. So friggin' what. People are buying it and I think it works. It's a bunch of herbs and vitamins, not rocket science. It's just a well packaged, well marketed product. No one thinks it's going to cure anything it just HELPS.
I'm betting the big drug manufacturers are behind this because Airborne was cutting into ther profits. Airborne has agreed to settle for 23M which means they must be making GOBS more money than that. Good for her. Screw all of the lawyers and people who can't let one teacher reap the awards of her well earned success.

Recommendations all over the place

So I don't like to get on my high horse about stuff but here are a few things I think are worth checking out.

My mother's best friend from high school wrote a book. Aside from the amazing writing of the book she also self-publlished it.
She was featured on the front page (lower fold) of a recent Sunday Boston Boston. I
t's called the "Lace Reader" and she writes under the name of Brunonia Barry.
My mother let me have her "advance readers copy" of this book. I've never been privy to this kind of experience. I honestly felt like I had the holy grail. This book is well done. She self-published it, did I say that already? That's a huge feat. It was finally purchased, at auction, by Harper Collins. This whole process takes a lot of time, patience and belief.
It's well placed.
It's a novel that takes you from your current reality back to that of your childhood experiences. It's validates (especially if you are from the North Shore) that your childhood does indeed matter and shapes all of your experiences. It makes you believe that a bad guy can have good guy characteristics and you can't always believe what you see. It reminds you not to trust what everyone has told you but to just trust someone.

So enough of that - when it comes out in July get the book - "The Lace Reader" by Brunonia Barry.

The other recommendation is, if you have kids near or (especially!!) if you have MY kids, go to ARTVARKS in Pembroke. It's an idea I swear to GOD I had last winter and someone else (thank God again) acted on. It's an arts & crafts studio where you bring the kids, make the mess and move on. We've gone twice now. The first time $32, today $77 but today was Lexi's b'day (she's 3) so we went hog wild (thanks to Grandpa & Karen). We built bears (6.95 per bear, 6 per outfit, 3 socks (honestly, just kill me)), we did spin art, sand art, marker art, blahety, blah.
I am jealous. I want to go with a bottle of wine and art myself until I'm silly in this place. No clean up, no worries. It's fantastic. I'd pay twice as much, you know, if I were rich or something. Anyway, just come, pick up the kids and go there.

BTW - Lexi's 3 today - anyone pick up on that? Soon she'll be asking for the keys....Life rolls on...

Times they are a changin'

My little baby girl is going to be 3 next week. I feel like I missed her baby years because I didn't get to spend 100% quality time with her like I did with Brooke. As we all know, Alexis has her own little agenda and no one is going to get in her way. I worry less about Alexis than I do about Brooke. Brooker is such a softie where Lexi is a tough chick.

On the "best parents in the world" front - last night John and I were relaxing and watching the news while the kids ran in circles naked yelling and screaming (see you think I'm making that up but it's the truth). At some point you just get tired from work, dinner, cleaning, telling them to stop running with the scissors (again, truth) that you just give up. So we gave up. Sat, watched tv and let them run (sans scissors of course). Well, you know where this is going, *SMASH*. They collided head on into each other and bounced back about 5 feet each. They both were oddly quiet for about 2 seconds trying to figure out what happened. Lexi's eyes were glazed over and Brooke's mouth was bleeding. Once everyone got a parent and relaxed it appeared there were not permanent injuries. Just another night in parent-ville.

In other news - John and I went to California - you've all seen the pictures. But here is this one again because I got the pose right and appear to have normal sized hips!
John won an award for top 3 sales reps in the country and, because of his sale, his company won an award for outstanding sales or something like that - the award ceremony was about 3 hours long, his stuff was near then end, shortly after the slideshow which included rats larger than a dog, again the truth!
We had one half of a day together and we went to Laguna Beach. We got to dip our toes in the water which is pretty cool - Atlantic and Pacific oceans both in January 2008. Pacific kicks Atlantics butt by the way. I am definitely retiring to S. Cali much better landscaping and v. cool vibe. See I could fit in.
In additional to the LOUD ticking clock and the 30 lb. paperweight that he won, we received a trip to Mexico! So we'll be off again April 10th - 13th. It's a quick trip but it's all inclusive and free so we're doing it.
Anyone interested in sitting for two little sweethearts? Let me know....

November & December (& Jan. 1st) post

Sorry, sorry! I know I've not blogged in a long time. It's been a wicked busy winter so far. Lots of snow, holidays and parties. Nevermind the colds, runny noses and cabin fever.

We didn't seem to get any pictures from Thanksgiving. It was a very nice time. The kids help make really cute napkin holders. Anway, the pictures I do have are from Christmas and New Years.

In December we had a visit from Santa at my aunt's Christmas party. The kids were beside themselves excited. Hey, he looks familiar.....

We made Christmas cookies about 100 times (or lbs.) since it's been so snowy. It's the most snowy Christmas at this point in A year since, blah, blah, blah. Ask John he can tell you all about the weather I tune out after I see the the little sun and snowflakes chart for the week.

Christmas eve

Here we are putting out reindeer food for the reindeer on Christmas eve. Brooke noticed the next day that "the reindeer didn't eat all of the food!"

We had a mix of people on Christmas eve. The picture below shows Kate and Barb (with hats), Kirk and Judy (neighbors) and the back of John Farraher. A few other people came by during the evening. It was a great time!

As always, I never get enough pictures on actual Christmas. We are too busy getting the food out and opening presents. Suffice it to say there were a lot of great gifts, none greater than "Butterscotch pony" who Santa brought for the girls.

Our tradition on New Years eve is to make our own pizza and ice cream sundaes (setting very healthy eating habits here in the Vallier household). The kids loved it. We were all in bed by 9:30pm which is just fine by me. I'm getting a little holi-dazed at this point.

Just to make sure that we don't miss anything, John, Kate and I decided we'd do the New Years Day plunge.

It was about 40 degrees out and windy. You can see from the waves in the background that it was blowing pretty hard. Thankfully it was low tide so we didn't have to contend with the slope of the beach.

Can you believe how many people actually did this? It had to be at least 200 if not more.

This would be after.

It was pretty damn cold.

We treated ourselves to a boozy lunch at the Bridgewaye in Humarock after the plunge. It appears a LOT of people did the same thing but the food and drink were fabulous. The kids were absolutely wonderful during the whole thing. Really a great time!
