The Mommy saga continues

John has a trade show today and tomorrow so he's out of town.
I got up today at 4:45am to catch the train.
I had to make sure I was sitting at a computer at 8:30 so that I could sign the kids up for gymnastics or else all of the spots would have been taken (it's happened).
I walked from my office to Downtown crossing to Ashburton (on the hill) to Downtown Crossing to Ashburton and then back to my office in shoes that are not comfortable.
I was explained to, in no uncertain terms, of my location in the hierarchy of EHS IT (Hint: It is NOT at the top)
Brooke has a cough that is keeping her (and me) up all night.
Alexis got bit by a tick and the site is all red.
I have a dentist appointment tonight - arranged for a sitter for an hour.
I have a code drop tomorrow (culmination of a years worth of work) and I have to drop the kids off at their respective schools in the morning meaning I have about 10 minutes to drive 10 miles to catch the train which gets me to work at 10am (3 hours late).
I have 2 meetings scheduled Thursday afternoon after my normal hours which I'll call into on the train (hoping we don't hit any dead spots).

I wonder why I'm tired all the time.........

8 years!

John and I just celebrated our 8th anniversary (November 4th). By celebrated I mean we ordered take-out Chinese food with the kids. People always ask "What are you getting?" when a 'holiday' or milestone comes along, so here's my list:

What I'm getting is a happy and secure home for my children.
What I'm getting is a husband who loves me dearly though I am most definitely difficult to love at times.
What I'm getting is a lot of snoring (sorry had to work that in there honey).
What I'm getting is a man who isn't afraid to follow his dreams and take a chance.
What I'm getting is someone who loves family, would prefer to stay home than go out and who will play dress up with little girls when the need arises.
What I'm getting is comfort and security and love every day.

What I'm getting is worth a lot more than another piece of jewelry that I can stuff into the back of the jewelry drawer; though I wouldn't be adverse to a trip to Mexico at 10 years........

Halloween

Halloween was a great time! Brooke was Hannah Montanta (though she quickly morphed into Miley Cyrus when the wig got too much for her). Lexi was a skeleton which was a great outfit because it was warm, easy to put on and inexpensive!

We went to Linda's house for pre-trick-or-treat party with all of the neighbors. It was really a great time. Some pretty creative costumes on the kids AND parents.

On Saturday we went to farm day and manned the Marshfield Kids at Plan booth. John took the kids around the fair and I helped sell some t-shirts. Afterward we went to a BBQ at one of the committee members houses which was great. Overall a really fun weekend!
